10th All-Russian Congress of Neurology
10th All-Russian Congress of Neurology, with the participation of international experts was held in Nizhny Novgorod, from 17 to 21 June.
It was attended by over 3,000 delegates and guests from all over Russia, CIS countries, Europe and North America. Among the delegates and guests of the congress were the leading Russian and foreign neuroscientists, members of the Bureau and the Board of the All-Russian Society of Neurologists, representatives of national and regional health authorities.
The congress was opened by Chairman of the All-Russian Society of Neurologists, the chief neurologist of Russian Ministry of Health, Academy of Medical Sciences, Professor E. Gusev.
Greetings to the Congress were sent by the chairman of the Council of Federation Valentina Matvienko and by Russian Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova.
In the days of the congress from 8 am to 8 pm were plenary and session meetings, workshops and satellite symposia, workshops.
The main scientific directions of the Congress were: acute and chronic cerebrovascular diseases, epilepsy and paroxysmal state, demyelinating diseases, hereditary and degenerative nervous system diseases, cognitive impairment and dementia, vertebral neurology, diseases of the peripheral and autonomic nervous system, headaches and migraines, the state of emergency in neurology, basic medical research in neurology.
Problem of child neurology, in particular, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cerebral palsy have been discussed at the congress. Director-General of the International Rehabilitation Clinic Prof. V.I. Kozjavkin was invited to share his extensive experience in rehabilitation of Cerebral Palsy patients in the lecture "Modern approaches to rehabilitation of patients with cerebral palsy from the perspective of evidence-based medicine".
Congress contributed to a fruitful exchange of experiences, knowledge and ideas in the treatment and prevention of neurological diseases.
