27th Conference of European Academy of Childhood Disability

27th Annual Conference of the European Academy of Childhood Disability took place on May 27-30, 2015 in Copenhagen. The motto of the conference: New ways - New moves.

About 600 participants from all European countries and from other continents took part in the annual meeting of professionals who work with disabled children.

The focus of the conference was on new achievements and new technologies to help children with special needs. Organizing Committee invited leading scientists in the field neuroplasticity, nutrition and exercise, cognition and technology to highlight scientific achievements of recent years.

During three days, participants had the opportunity to immerse themselves into interesting lectures, seminars, workshops, taste specially selected food, that can influence development of neuroplasticity - Food4Brains, and to participate in building a "bridge" not only between basic science and clinical practice, and in the opposite direction – between patients and research.

International Clinic of Rehabilitation presented its achievements in developing new technologies for rehabilitation, namely web based rehabilitation stepping games.

Poster presentation «Rehabilitation Computer Stepping Games for Patients with Cerebral Palsy» (pdf, 1.3 Mb)

These games are designed for patients with movement disorders to improve the stepping movements, balance, reaction speed and cognitive abilities. It is important that every game can be individually adjusted according to the patient's level of motor development.

Note that all the patients who were previously on treatment in the International Clinic of Rehabilitation or “Elita” Rehabilitation center can get free access to the rehabilitation stepping games and use them at home. More on page www.rehagame.com
