Problems of Complex Rehabilitation of Children with Cerebral Palsy 2-3 March, 2006, the First International Congress ‘Problems of complex rehabilitation of children suffering from cerebral palsy’ was held by the Russian State Social University.
During two days the issues of development of the system of complex rehabilitation of children suffering from palsy were discussed at plenary sessions and in the course of sections functioning.
Scientists, children’s cerebral palsy rehabilitation specialists, prominent foreign researchers, members of Federation Council and State Duma of the Russian Federation, ministries and various institutions representatives, entrepreneurs etc. participated in the Congress.
The congress was opened by Prof. V.I. Zhukov, correspondent member of Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of History, Rector of Russian State Social University, with the report ‘State’s social policy regarding people with health disabilities’.
The speech of Prof. V.I. Kozyavkin ‘Topical problems of medical rehabilitation’, who shared his abundant experience in cerebral palsy patients’ rehabilitation, aroused a lot of interest.
The range of problems discussed by participants of the First International Congress ‘Problems of complex rehabilitation of children suffering from cerebral palsy’ attracted attention of a number of executives, scientists, teachers, and medical and social workers.
