7th Framework Program in Poland
Inauguration conference launching 7th Framework Program in Poland took place in Warsaw on 16-17 November 2006.
The Conference was organized by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education and National Contact Point for Research Programmes of the EU. It was held under the honorary patronage of the President of Republic of Poland Mr. Lech Kaczyński.
The main objectives of the conference were to officially launch FP7 in Poland and assist the preparation of FP7 projects. Information about major aims, rules of participation, budget and structure of FP7 has been presented.
The conference included thematic workshops and brokerage meetings, during which Polish and foreign participants have presented proposals for specific FP7 projects. Thematic workshops have been realized through the cooperation of international project consortia, and covered a number of thematic areas including Information and Communication Technologies, eHealth and eInclusion.
By the invitation of the Organizing committee a representative of the International Clinic of Rehabilitation Dr. Oleh Kachmar took part in the conference. On the eHealth session he presented the achievements of the clinic in the field of rehabilitation and medical informatics.
Undoubtedly, this conference will strengthen European cooperation in the area of scientific research, new technologies and innovation, in particular the promotion of international technological and research initiatives.
