Research work

Research work of our team traditionally is closely related to the therapeutic process. Our studies are directed towards better understanding of benefits and weak points of different rehabilitation methods, as well as further development of the new rehabilitation system – the Kozyavkin Method.

Our Truskavets’ school of rehabilitation was formed during long years of research and practical work and is known not only in Ukraine, but also in many countries of the world.

Our research team includes one doctor of sciences and 4 candidates of medical sciences. Short content of completed dissertation works are available on the page "Thesis of research work".

Doctors and research workers of clinic take active part in the national and international congresses, conferences and workshops. Short information about our last scientific forums is published under the heading "Conferences".

Our research work is conducted in collaboration with the Kiev Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, Ukrainian Research Institute of Clinical and Experimental Neurology and Psychiatry, Munich Children's Center, Lviv Medical University and other. One of our important tasks is conducting, together with the authoritative medical institutions, a randomized clinical trial of outcome assessment of our treatment system according to the standards of evidence based medicine.

Our institution is the branch of medical rehabilitation department of Kiev Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. Since 1999 we are regularly conducting courses of continued medical education "New technologies in the medical rehabilitation". More information in the section "Postgraduate education”.

International Clinic of Rehabilitation has translated into Ukrainian the Gross Motor Function Classification. The GMFC System classifies the motor involvement of children with cerebral palsy on the basis of their functional abilities and their need for assistive technology and wheeled mobility.

Eastern European Academy of Childhood Disability was established in May 2010 to support education, research and implementation of new technologies in rehabilitation of neurologically disabled children.
