A workshop Seminar in New-York
The Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation System (INRS) seminar took place in New York, and lasted for two days: from November 20 to 21, 2002. The seminar started with a presentation of the Kozyavkin's Method, and a background about the Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation.
Medical personnel and families of patients in the region who are interested in the rehabilitation treatment organized the seminar. Thanks to the efforts of Mrs. Linda Mograby and Dr.Regina Spinozzola's MD, the turn out was more than anticipated, as the audience filled the conference hall of the beautiful Roslyn Claremont Hotel.
Prof.V.Kozyavkin MD, the director and founder of Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation System (INRS), headed the seminar. Also participated in the seminar were doctors from the Institute of Medical Rehabilitation, in Truskavetz, Ukraine. Dr. V. Padko (neurologist) and Dr. O. Kachmar MD (medical researcher) gave presentations, in which they explained the main principles of the Intensive Neurophysiological Rehabilitation System (INRS) and the characteristics of its individual components. Also presented was a statistic analysis showing the effectiveness of the INRS treatment on 12256 patients in the study, who received rehabilitation treatment in the Institute.
The audience was impressed by the innovation of the rehabilitation methods which were developed by the Institute's team such as the biodynamical correction suit which is designed to correct the movement patterns, the computer games which help to transform the monotonous physical exercises into exciting games etc.
Those who attended showed great interest in INRS, and participated in a workshop that included the different therapies of rehabilitation. They also watched videos showing the progress of the patients' gross motor skills and the dramatic improvement the program of rehabilitation brought about.
More than 100 people attended the two-day seminar. At the end of each day the audience got a chance to ask questions and discuss the different aspects of the treatment. The seminar was a great success, new ideas were born, new contacts were established which will help in future cooperation aimed at helping disabled children all over the world.
